Moorfields Pharmaceuticals offers high quality contract services in development and manufacturing of small volume sterile liquids.

Our batch sizes are ideal for clinical requirements or for high value/low volume products, including orphan or niche products.  Perfect for when demand is modest but supply critical for patient well-being or continuity of clinical trial supplies.

Moorfields capabilities range from hand filling through to semi-automated and fully automated filling lines, including fully automated packaging. Batch sizes can range from a single vial to 200 Litres.

Moorfields Pharmaceuticals is able to fill aseptically and provides terminal sterilisation (autoclave) of finished products.

1) Hand Fill

We offer bespoke custom manufacturing and filling services to meet individual client requirements, including hand fill of plastic bottles and syringes. 

2) Semi-Automated

Baxa filling pumps are used to fill vials, bottles and syringes accurately and efficiently.  The scale of the semi-automated line allows for small batch sizes, with little set-up waste.  We also offer the use of disposable equipment that reduces cross-contamination and cleaning validation.   

3) Fully-Automated Line

a) The Bausch and Strobel KSF 1020 bottle and vial filler is used to fill larger batches efficiently and quickly. A full range of presentations can be filled on this machine:

Vials: 2R, 4R, 6R, 8R, 10R, 15R vials; plus 5mL vials. 

Bottles: 10ml screw neck finish bottles, 50ml, 100ml ISO bottles.
